THE PICKERING ROOM

Named after the American friend of patriarch Giuseppe Cipriani (Founder and Creator of the original Harry’s Bar – Venice). A beautiful story of trust and shared dreams led to the opening of Harry’s Bar in Venice in 1931, named after Harry Pickering, a frequent patron of the bar where patriarch Giuseppe Cipriani used to work. Unfortunately; Mr. Pickering found himself financially depleted and unable to return to America. Giuseppe Cipriani helped him greatly. Mr. Pickering promised one day to return to Venice and repay his friend. He eventually did just that and added more for his friend Giuseppe to make a dream come true to open his own Bar; Harry’s Bar Venice which he therefore named after his American friend Harry Pickering.
